French-born and now based in Lisbon, YokoO has spent more than two decades immersed in the deeper edges of House & Techno music, evolving from a teenage record collector in France to an internationally touring DJ, producer and label architect.
After relocating to Australia in his early twenties, he quickly embedded himself in the underground scene, playing professionally while gaining hands-on experience across event promotion, club programming, artist booking and label operations. That foundation shaped his long-term perspective on music not only as an art form, but as a cultural ecosystem.
Over the past fifteen years, YokoO has toured internationally, bringing his hypnotic and emotionally rich approach to dancefloors across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia. His productions reflect the same philosophy: deep, meditative grooves built around subtle textures and emotional resonance. Releases such as Pachamama (on Get Physical’s Kindisch), Euneirophrenia (on All Day I Dream) and Jivanmuktih (On Crosstown Rebels’ Rebellion) marked key milestones in his artistic evolution and continue to receive support from influential artists worldwide.
As the founder of SATYA, YokoO has built a globally respected vinyl-focused imprint dedicated to uncompromising artistic expression and carefully curated electronic music. What began as a personal vision has developed into an expanding catalogue distributed internationally and supported by a growing network of artists and collectors.
Beyond his own label, he also serves as A&R for Toka Musik, further extending his role as a curator and tastemaker within the scene.
As a DJ, YokoO approaches the dancefloor as a space for long-form storytelling. Based primarily in Lisbon, he holds a monthly residency at Rūmu, where his sets unfold through deep, minimal and hypnotic soundscapes.
Guided by presence and authenticity, his work remains anchored in one core principle: a commitment to Truth, whether in the studio, behind the decks, or through the development of SATYA.
